Exploring the rich heritage of nandi temple

 As the part of our  activity we visited an Bhoganandishwara temple. Established  :  9 th century Creater  :  Nolamba Pallava Dynasty Deity  : Lord Shiva Festival  : Shivratri Affiliation : Hinduism • the temple is constructed of stone. •its exterior is adorned with intricate carvings of Lord Shiva,Vishnu and Brahma. • the temple is located on a hill call Nandi hills which is considered to be one of the most  scenic spot. •standing in front of temple is an intricatly carved stone umbrella or chakra. • This is the most recognisable image I saw at the temple. • The carvings and architectural details on the exterior of the temple,seen as I walk around the inner compound was  adorable.

 As a part of plantation and adoption of a tree .I planted jammun tree in our garden . Aim and objectives  The main aim of plantation is to reduce temperature and increase humidity.                             Jamun plant • Jamun is a popular indigenous fruit  of India,it has very valuable place in ayurvedic medicines. •It is a boon of diabetic  patients. Key points Origin     :   India  Common name  : Malabar plum,java plum,   jambu phal Types : evergreen Life    : upto 100 years Fruit bearing  : May or June   Source  • It is a source of blood purifier . •  cures sore throat,bronchitis,asthma and ulcer . • Rich in vitamin -C ,iron , calcium, phosphorus, magnesium  Benifits •  control heart issues  .  • consuming   jamun fruit can cure anemia  since it is know to increase  red blood cells...
